Hodsock Priory is an extraordinary venue for indoor wedding ceremonies, with five licensed rooms available to suit all sizes and styles of wedding.
Whichever location you choose, you’ll be able to prepare for the big day and enjoy a celebratory brunch in our luxurious Dressing Room, as well as enjoying exclusive hire of the entire country home.
Panelled Hall
The Panelled Hall provides a traditional venue for indoor wedding ceremonies, featuring Hodsock family portraits, a grand oak fireplace, and oak panelling from our Estate.
This atmospheric room is steeped in history, with a warm and welcoming design that stays true to the heritage of the Priory. With its large windows and stunning views overlooking the North Lawn and gardens, the Panelled Hall offers lots of natural light, making it an ideal venue for both summer and winter weddings.
With room for up to 80 guests, you can share your big day with friends and family in luxury.
Buchanan Hall
The Buchanan Hall offers a more contemporary style of wedding while still encapsulating the classic feel of the English country house.
This striking room balances the simplicity of neutral-coloured walls and natural wooden floors with the grandeur of decadent chandeliers and an open fireplace. The Buchanan Hall is one of our most popular rooms, providing an inspiring canvas for floral arrangements, candles, ornate carpets and rustic archways.
Whatever your chosen wedding design, you can celebrate with up to 100 guests in this beautiful hall, perfect for all styles of indoor wedding ceremonies.
Pavilion
The largest and most modern of our indoor ceremony rooms is the Pavilion.
This room was added in 2007 to create a modern venue for wedding ceremonies, dining and receptions. We’ve made sure to combine both contemporary and classic designs in constructing this addition, and you can even find one of the Priory’s original outer windows in the Pavilion as a nod to our unique heritage.
With doors opening out onto the Italian Terrace, your guests can easily enjoy the fresh air and beauty of the Priory’s beautiful gardens.
The Pavillion is a spacious and versatile option for up to 130 wedding guests.

Intimate ceremonies
We have two charming rooms licensed for civil ceremonies that are well suited to smaller, more intimate wedding ceremonies with only your closest family and friends.
With room for up to 15 guests, the Ante Room is a light and airy space with wooden floors, sumptuous dark blue walls adorned with traditional portraiture, and an ornate chandelier overhead.
The Library provides a cosy and traditional choice for weddings of up to 28 guests. With antique bookcases, an exquisite statement fireplace and spectacular views of the gardens, this room is welcoming and full of light.
YOUR RECEPTION
Continue your celebration with a luxurious wedding reception at Hodsock Priory. Enjoy delicious food and drink in the unique atmosphere of this beautiful and historic country house venue as you celebrate with your friends and family.
Our exclusive hire means that the entire house will be open to you and your guests, giving you private access to all of our indoor and outdoor spaces, including the House Bar, gardens and terrace.
OUTDOOR CEREMONIES
If you would prefer to hold your wedding outdoors, you can make the most of Hodsock Priory’s gardens and woodland.
Whether you opt for a civil ceremony in our Georgian-style gazebo or a celebrant-led exchange of vows under the Tudor Gatehouse, your outdoor wedding will be nothing short of magnificent.
CHURCH WEDDINGS
You can still enjoy a religious ceremony while also celebrating at our stunning country home.
With the Grade I listed Church of St Mary and St Martin in Blyth just two miles from Hodsock Priory, we’re in the perfect location for your wedding reception.
